In 2006 Canadian Horizons purchased approximately 163 acres of land located on the Naramata Bench, which is less than 10 minutes from downtown Penticton, in BC’s Okanagan region, in the heart of wine country overlooking the Okanagan Lake. The area is designated as a Future Growth Area in the City of Penticton’s Official Community Plan which was recently adopted in 2019.
For over 10 years, Canadian Horizons has conducted extensive consultation with community members, engaged City of Penticton staff, and retained numerous professionals to thoroughly recognize the area’s potential for residential living.
In the Spring of 2021, CH submitted a proposal for a master planned neighbourhood concept on 1050 Spiller Road. The proposal is comprised of low-density rural residential lots (homes) with breathtaking views. It also preserves a significant amount of the surrounding natural environment and includes parks and trails for the whole community to enjoy. We look forward to the proposal being considered by Mayor and Council in the near future.
City of Kelowna, BC
Thomson Flats is an assembly of two properties totaling 160 acres located in the highly desirable area of Southwest Mission area of the City of Kelowna, approximately 15 minutes from the downtown core. The project received approvals from the City of Kelowna Council to commence an Area Structure Plan (ASP) in 2015. Over the past 8 years, Canadians Horizons and Melcore Developments Ltd have worked closely with the City of Kelowna’s staff, the community, and environmental consultants to finalize the ASP.
